“I strive to bring an effective blend of experience, connectedness, expertise, support, empathy, and responsibility to the counseling process in order to maximize outcomes and provide genuine healing and wholeness. I use the most current methods while grounding therapy in a down-to-earth, friendly relationship.
Often clients begin therapy feeling overwhelmed, stressed, confused, unaccepted, sad and/or unaccomplished. Many will say that their life has become unmanageable. I help clients develop coping skills to manage relationship instabilities, focusing limitations, intrusive thoughts, emotional/physical pain, sleep difficulties, lack of progress/motivation, and other concerns.
I am intensively trained in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I also utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and neuroscience to inform my therapeutic approach. Given the individual values and needs of each client, I will develop a treatment strategy to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to overcome mental health barriers and create an authentic life worth living.”
