Julie Madsen, M.P.S

Mental Health Clinical Trainee

I approach mental health and other personal challenges from existential and solutions-based frameworks, with guidance from personal meaning and authenticity as well as practicality. I am inspired particularly by Abraham Maslow's principle of self-actualization and Carl Jung's "shadow" concept, which means I believe we all have the version of our "best self" that we can uncover as we face the insecurities, shame, disappointments, fears, and even talents and strengths that we've buried (knowingly and unknowingly) within us.

As a therapist I am a knowledgeable, supportive guide who assists clients in finding and developing personal strengths and healing, but it is the client's values and uniqueness that provide the spirit of the therapy experience. Throughout the therapy process, I encourage the client to remain as motivated, inspired and curious about their challenges as I am.
